A big surprise by the qualifiers. Santa Maria took Chapa 2 down to the wire. Chapa dropped an injured Lucas Criado and added Milo Fernández Araujo and they did not use Mariano Gonzalez as a substitute this week for some reason. Chapa II got away with a win and they need to find someone to take on Ellerstina next week or they will have to say adios.
In the big game it was a blow out as Ellerstina kicked the @$** out of La Aquada and now only have Chapa 2 to pass on their trip to the finals. If Ellerstina makes it to the Finals of the 114th Argentine Open they will have a chance to also win the Argentine Triple Crown.
Also south of the border, about 3 thousand miles, it was Piocho Ranch and young gun T.J. Barrack with Julio Gracida teaming up for a victory in the Copa de Plata Quarterfinals.
