The polo season is just around the corner, and barns open in three short
weeks. There are a few announcements I would like to make.
First, I am pleased to welcome back Graham Bray, our new Polo Manager.
Graham brings to the club his polo expertise and great work ethic. We’re
glad to have him back.
Also onboard with us this season and another familiar face at our club, is
new Marketing Director, Lyn Oleson. Lyn brings a wealth of knowledge within
the horse community in San Diego, especially in advertising and sponsorship.
Please stop by the office and say hello. I’ve attached our 2009 San Diego
Polo Club Magazine advertising rates to this email for those who would like
to take out an ad to promote your business.
And, last but far from least. . . . .
Due to popular demand, our high goal tournament play from June through
August will change from 8-10 goal to an 8 goal minimum pro pool combination,
where each patron and their pro will come in with a minimum combination of 4
goals and above per pair. The teams will be put together every two weeks by
Graham Bray, changing the pairs from tournament to tournament.
It should be a fun format where everyone gets a chance to know and play one
another. If a visiting player wants to bring in a whole team, they are also
very welcome to do so. September will bring the return of straight 10-12
goal tournament play, in addition to 4-6 goal tournament play.
