Game #4 Smithfield Farm (9) defeats The Supersized Titans (6)
Well…so far the only storm by the name of Ernesto to hit the Mashomack fields had a last name of Ezcurra, as Ernie joined brother Julio, John Klopp, and their go to secret weapon, Fuad Malik. Ernie played it like he likes it, pedal to the floor, and pumped in 2 goals to add to Julio’s game high of 5. Fuad Malik, Smithfield’s hero of last week’s sudden death slapped one in during Chukker #6. Fuad had a beauty earlier but it was called back due to a foul on the play. The Titans also put in a solid performance as they pulled back within 2 at the end of 5. Maxi Crotto had two beautiful long scores in the game and did a good job of adding a lot of heart and direction to teammates Sam Ramirez, Michael Levin, and Felix Martinez.
Saturday Morning’s weather has been a little bit of a surprise…as we were anticipating a little more kick out of tropical depression, Ernesto…but weather is still predicting there is a possibility that we may get some serious rain here later this afternoon and evening.
So far…we have just received some light rain and threatening skies. The storm seems to be moving west of us, which may allow us late Sunday and Monday polo! Keep your mallets crossed.

If Buena Vista wins, the Longfield-Smithfield game will need to be played to determine who goes to finals.
If Longfield wins..then Longfield and Smithfield go straight to the finals
