It is the San Diego Polo Club’s 20th Anniversary and the 100th Birthday of the Spreckels Cup. During the next two weeks we will have parties, a ball, great polo and a lot of fun. Here is the schedule of events for the Spreckels Cup Tournament.
Friday, Sept. 22nd 2006
Crash and Burn Party at the San Diego PC Clubhouse. Everyone who fell of their horse or had a crash and burn this season needs to bring a case of beer to the party. One case for each fall or crash. Skits, crash and burn tapes and awards. The party starts at 7 PM. Please try and bring your beer to the Clubhouse early around 10 AM so we can put it on ice. Or bring it cold!! All skits are welcome. So be ready for some fun.
Saturday, Sept 23rd 2006
Join the polo players and pros at Zen located in Del Mar, CA at 2010 Jimmy Durante Blvd. The Player’s Party at Zen is a public event to “Meet the Players” of the Spreckels Cup polo tournament. The party starts at 6 PM. Bring friends for a fun party.
Sunday, Sept 24th 2006
Polo games all day long at the San Diego Polo Club. Featured matches at 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM.
Friday, Sept. 29th 2006
Black and White Ball “A Look Back.” The Ball starts at 6 PM in the Spreckels Celebration Tent at the San Diego Polo Club. Cocktails, dinner and dancing, 2006 Season Awards and 20 years of Memories.
Saturday Sept. 30th 2006
Red Baron’s Bash to be held at the San Diego PC Clubhouse. At 4 PM Vintage airplanes will land on the polo fields. At 5 PM you can meet the pilots and see their planes. The BBQ dinner starts at 5:30 PM.
Sunday, Oct. 1st 2006
The Spreckels Cup 6- and 14-Goal Finals at San Diego Polo Club. Gates open at 12:30 and the first match starts at 1 PM and the 14-goal finals will be at 3 PM. Music and party to follow final game.
