Sept 9th 06: The Finals Part I – Well we know the 14-goal finals as it was a Patron’s day in San Diego. In game one it was Pretty Lady Lisa Bosstick, high-scorer of the day, as she stuffed 3 in to goal. Madison Square heads to the finals. The Palamino (Jason Crowder) missed 6 goal shots, some from like a foot or 2. It was Ms. Figi leading Gypsy down the field as they got their first win of the 14- goal. In a real deal it was Tri Tech and Silent Chris Maloney taking on Rancho Valencia and Chris Collins. They were both Major factors in the game. It was Silent Chris coming up with the final blow as his TriTech Squad said “whoa” to the Rancho Valencia Team. TriTech heads to the finals versus the Madison Square Squad and that all happens at 3 PM come Sunday afternoon. In the other one its a big hit as one side has hidden Creek in the finals no matter what happens. Then it depends on today’s game for the other team in the finals. If Topo Mendez and Jenny Lutrell (Cottrel Farms) win their in the finals and that’s all there is to it. If they do not win and then its a wild one if Ohana wins by 1 or if Marcus + Milichap wins by 2 and on and on. It very well may come down to net goals. It could be and it should be, but will it be? Anyway the finals for the 14- and 6-goal will both be on Sunday at 1 and 3 PM. So be there as there is a party in town and it all leads up to the SPRECKLES CUP which starts next Sat. There will be 14 teams competing in two leagues. It will be a wild 3 weeks of polo.
Up North its 8-goal time and it starts Saturday at Santa Barbara PC. They have 4 teams the 8-goal Harry East Tournament. We have Klentner Ranch vs. Mansour and Chadmar vs. Gehache. See ya. The Polo Report by Steve Crowder.
