Costi Caset scored eight times as Skaneateles (Marty Cregg, Johnny Alvarez, Costi Caset and Cesar Jimenez) led throughout much of the game on their way to a 12-10 win over Odosan/Polologistics (Joe Chai, Joe Manheim, Joaquin Panelo and Nick Manifold) Friday afternoon in the Limited Edition 8-goal Series.

Panelo added two more goals from the field in second period play but Skaneateles was locked and loaded. Three goals from Caset (one on a 60-yard penalty shot) and a 30-yard penalty conversion from team captain Marty Cregg gave Skaneateles a 5-4 lead.

Panelo scored on a penalty goal followed by a goal from the field from teammate Joe Chai as Odosan/Polologistics moved back into the lead, 6-5. Caset closed out the scoring in the chukker with a goal from the field followed by a 30-yard penalty goal for a 7-6 halftime lead.

Panelo’s sixth goal of the game came on a penalty conversion as the second half got underway. Skaneateles responded with a goal from the field from Johnny Alvarez and a pair of goals from Caset (one on a 60-yard Safety conversion).  After four periods of play it was Skaneateles on top, 10-7.

Manifold scored the first goal of the sixth chukker in an effort to rally the troops, 11-9, but Skaneateles remained in control. A goal from Cesar Jimenez had Odosan/Polologistics trailing by three goals, 12-9, with time running out.  Manifold scored the final goal of the day but Skaneateles held on for the 12-10 victory.
