The Boot Ranch and Polo Farm, owned by Blake and Bobbie Anderson-Brush, and Joe Henderson, on his way south for the winter, hosted a polo clinic on October 5 and 6 and 12 and 13th. Students travelled with horses or not to the  polo field in Tampico, Washington, which is located in the central part of the state. The fall weather was perfect – even had a herd of 30 elk pass through one morning.   Sixteen students came the first weekend and 12 students the next – all ages from 10 to just over 50.   Henderson was excellent! with plans for another clinic in the spring time.

Oregon State University polo team were in full force as well some local students.  Claudia Howell brought 3 players that had taken her clinics – all very new to polo but keen. Claudia Tornquist drove 7 hours from Vancouver and loved every minute. Jason and Elizabeth Larvik and Virginia Jones – all 3 seasoned players liked Joe’s methods of teaching and wanted more.  Joe had some extra help from Dan Juarez and Curtis Lindahl – both rated players who added to the chukker play. Gratia Brown and Susan Stovall provided some extra horses so all were mounted and ready to go.   Please contact blakesandbobbie@gmail.com for details for the May clinics.
