the Surfer and the Palomino they never caught the gust or the wave as a Crosswind called Collins was much to hard it was a game of speed and you already have Fast-Etta who was born on the run so just add the Collins speed and Mrs. Hanelia and you have speed to burn on your way to Hanelia Bay which is in Hawaii but it was a South Wind . Well no matter what it was very stiff wind in the face of Lapasion/Kalypso as they got down big came back big went down again and this time never got their wind back. It was cool but pleasant day at Del Mar with the usual huge and happy crowd and they came to see polo and they did the first chukkar after all the hoopla to get it going was all HB/SW as they roared out to a 4 goal lead and in the last seconds LP/KA got on the board in the second it was more to LP liking as they won the chukkar 3 to 1 . In the 3rd after some wild plays and awesome play by Young Gun Chris C 2 it was not enough as LP tied it up with 2 minutes left in first 1/2 and it endened up at 1/2 time all tied up at 6 to 6 so a brand new game and the big crowd did the Divot dance and got it all smooth for the Rockets of HB/SW as a pep talk by Bones must have raised the roof because Fassetta and CC 2 came out on fire and swept ahead by 2 and Papa CC1 held the LP’s to 0 the 5th was still a young gun show as CC2 came out smokin and Fast-etta just kept pounding the ball to him and CC1 kept the back door closed and it was 4 to 2 in the fifth and the sixth just looked like it had to be time for LP/KA to move but it was not enough as the Secetary of Defense CC 1 closed the door and never thought about giving that SPRECKLES CUP away and it was off to the table of trophy’s where it was quite q deal as MR Harry Collins presented the win with 3 generations of Collins Polo , I would say he was a happy man and Sir Willis Allen must have been looking down with a smile . It was a great 4 weeks of Polo at the San diego Polo club and even though it was 8 goal polo it was fast I watched some 8 goal at SB the other day and it was 4 goals slower than this . Why I do not know the handicaps are suposed to be the same but it is night and day difference . It was a great experience for two rookies both Ladies of the game as Tracee Brunetti and Ericka Woods stepped into the big time and did well two finals thats pretty good . Mrs Krista Bonaquidi did her part as well with some awesome shots when needed and no problem keeping the pace . I really do not believe I have ever been to a more fun club for low goal Polo than San Diego Polo and they used to play a lot of 14 goal their but times are slow but this place is just always Happening . Just like Sunday on not a very lovley day by any means the polo was fun the Party after was well W I L D but still going when I left and everybody just having a good time the way Polo is suposed to be .

Down South of here Like Will Rogers Nacho Figuera is coming as MR POLO is doing a charity in LA like Hollywood this guy has done more for POLO in the last 12 months than most of us will ever do in a lifetime so if your in Polo and like it stop by and see him and just say thanks and maybe he would like to stay here for a while we could USE HIM bigtime .
Farther south like several kilometers Little Mac Fred Mannix 2 and his ALEGRIA Team have qualified for the ARGENTINE Open the biggest one their is so well done Fred and I think they will make it to the finals of one of the big Cups . Fred is a Canadian who spent many years playing the game in Indio, Ca. and is one of the first players of the Pee Wee Polo of El Dorado Polo. This Summer in the end of August it was quite a feat of Pee Wee Polo in the East Coast Open Fredrick Was MVP and on the West Coast Open or Pac Open Jason was MVP all from the class of 1992.
