In Aiken, South Carolina its Gold Cup time and they start round 2 today as Super star Adolfo Cambiaso leads Russ Mcall’s Newbridge Polo against John Rooney’s Zenas of Calgary. It could be a wipeout and it just maynot be because its polo but Newbridge won their first 1 and Zenas had a very long day. I was told by a pro that John Rooney was the best player for his handicap last Thursday in a bad loss to Dahlwood. It is also his first trip to the 22-goal. This is a great move after a great summer of winning all the high-goal in Calgary so maybe he will hook and steal the ball from Adolfo Cambiaso once today. Down in Argentina in their first big tournament of the Spring it was MR. Pieres coming off the shelf and leading his 3 sons to dominate. They head to the finals in a family affair. Gonzalo Pieres was a 10-goaler for many years and is often thought to be the best in his time. He now has 2 sons who are both rated 10 goals and who are less than 25 years old.
In Santa Barbara they have the first 8-goal finals at 3 today. In Houston they are putting them up for the Texas Open. Here in San Diego there are 7 games today and it looks like this:
