The Polo Report
By Steve Crowder
The polo was big on both coasts as Palm Beach was rockin’ with some big wins. Remy and Orchard Hill won again and Audi came thru with a big one. Lucchese and John Muse came out with a big W. I am sure Mr Webb will have field side reports soon on PoloZONE.
Out west it was Northern Blizzard with another win, but a close one in OT against Captain Chris Maloney and Tricor.
The Super Bowl … We all Know Ben Solemani and he was first US Patron to win the Gold Cup in Buenos Aires. Instead of Disney World he picked the Super Bowl and it was awesome in the neighboring state of Arizona. Well you could not get a better game. I’m so glad Tom and Bill were on the stand after all the BS they go thru and most is created by the press I am sure. The odd thing is the press never says s–t about how Pete screwed so many young players getting USC in the hole for 5 years and leaving them where they are now … probation and sanctions. Not a word from our great press. The other funny thing is all this crap about ball where is the NFL? They should be in control and from what I read they do not even have proof they tested balls before game. Now that sounds like a horse deal.
Now that football is over lets get ready to play POLO. From coast to coast there cannot be more action. In the first 3 months of the year, everyone who can is playing in a few places like Palm Beach, Sarasota and Indio, so come and see the show.
On a sad note, I hear Louis Escobar is recovering, but still in the trouble from a horrendous wreck yesterday in Palm Beach. I hope he is soon back on a horse. Also was reading Facebook that a very good guy and Member over in San Diego passed away … Briant Howes. Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends.
See ya at POLO.
