The United States Polo Association (USPA) held their annual fall meetings in Aiken, SC ,September 28th through October 1st. Circuit governors and committee members from around the country flew in to participate in three days of meetings and events. The headline event was the election of incoming Chairman, Chuck Weaver and to honor the outgoing Chairman, Tom Biddle.
Aiken is home to the Team USPA Training Center, and this fall 14 of the 31 Team USPA members were on hand to welcome the Governor’s and USPA committee members. Team USPA players were in attendance at every event, demonstrating their gratitude for the opportunities the Team USPA program has given them. The culmination of the meeting week was celebrated by a Governor’s polo match and oyster roast hosted by the Team USPA and graciously held at outgoing Chairman Tom Biddle’s polo field. The game was held in a round-robin format, anchored by a Team USPA player on each of the three teams to give the Governors and committee members an opportunity to see their newly acquired skills. The oyster roast afterwards added to the air of camaraderie and will surely become a new USPA tradition!
