La Conner, WA (July 26, 2010) – The fact that the Pacific Northwest Circuit Governor’s Cup Tournament was played under absolutely perfect weather conditions – in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd at Circuit Governor George Dill’s La Conner Polo Club – didn’t seem to matter to Gerry Warner and his Tentnology polo team.  While a tent wouldn’t be necessary,Warner et al. covered it anyway as they won the tournament final with a 6 – 3 win over Nancy Alcott and Polo Art.

In spite of pressure from the Alcotts in the first, Tentnology, under the cool guidance of Nicolas Maciel, took a three goal lead to the second period (3 – 0).

With strong and coordinated play, Polo Art got back into it in the second with two strong goals and trailed by two (4 – 2).

All the scoring in the third was Warner and company and the lead became four goals (6 – 2) going to the final panel. The artists were able to get one in the fourth and the trophy was on it’s way to Vancouver, BC.

In a very open and entertaining contest, Maciel led the scoring for the winners with four goals (1 foul) and Manuel Vismara had two.

While Seth and Brandon Alcott came close on many occasions, Polo Art’s counters came from Segundo Bengolea-Lalor.
