The Grand Champions Polo Club will be forced to travel south for its next tournament due to wet fields in Wellington. The Texas Polo Challenge will take place at the Palm City Polo Club (the old Royal Palm Polo) on Saturday afternoon at 3 pm and 5 pm and will field four 13-16 goal teams.
The tournament is being sponsored by Vinny Meyer of Texas Polo and will feature a bunch of the Grand Champions regulars along with members of Joey Casey’s Palm City Polo Club and Stevie Orthwein’s Port Mayaca gang.
The opening game is scheduled between Audi and Port Mayaca at 3pm with Palm City and Grand Champions facing-off at 5pm.
The finals of the tournament have been tentatively slated for Monday with times to be determined.
