Lyndon Lea and Zacara join the action in Santa Barbara this week as they take on ERG who were overtime losers last Sunday to Grant’s Farm.  The game will be at high noon. The first game of the day will put Skene Champs Patagones against Mighty Mike and Lucchese at 10 am. The 2 pm game brings ’08 Champ Audi with Mark in the mix vs. Grant’s Farm, a repeat of last years PCO finals minus Gonzalo Pieres.   The final match of the day is Valiente vs. Mansour.  The first 3 rounds will be bracket play and the brackets are as follows:

Bracket 1 Bracket 2

Grants Farm               Patagones

Audi                               Leucchese

Valiente                        Zacara

Mansour                       ERG

A look at the teams :

AUDI – A very vocal team this one not the same as last year by no means, but they have some power.

Mark Ganzi is a 1-goal Patron and a good steady hand on the field.  He has had lot of success here lately.

Kris Kampsen is 6-goals and born to run. We will hear his name as Colorado for Red often.

Juan Bollini is 6 -goals and will be the one yelling Colorado quite often.

Luis Escobar is 7-goals, steady and will have a big job keeping the lid on this group.

ERG is a team with talent, desire and they are an able bunch as well.

Scott Woods is a 0 and is returning from a major injury last year and not fit yet, but he will be.

Gonzalo Del Tour is 4-goals. He was often the hero of Audi last year and he is back and better than last year.

Paco de Narvaez is 9-goals.  He also had some injuries last year, but is working hard on the roads.

Jeff Blake is  7 -goals, silent, steady and always focused.  He is here to play polo.

Grants Farm came up short yesterday, but may have a surprise coming out  of the box.

Andy Busch is 4-goals and loves to be in the mix.  He is solid, steady and ready.

Chachi Gaecia Velez  is 2-goals and has  sexiest Mom in Polo.  He will be runnin’.

P. Falabella is 2-goals.  He is Grant’s Farm’s Cracker Jack surprise.  He is the nephew of Pablo and looks very good in practice.

Sugar Erskine is 7-goals, steady and has last years undefeated string which ended yesterday, but he will play.

Jeff Hall  is 7-goals.  He is local talent and the best California player in many years. He can run!

Lucchese is an unknown.  They may or they may not be in the mix.

John Muse is rated 0 and the Patron. He will try to light the fire.

Andres Weisz is 6-goals and he has lots of stick and is ready to roll.

Mike Azzaro is at 9-goals, but can be 10 and can be 7.  In any event, he will be runnin’ and hitting the ball hard.

Julio Gracida is 5-goals and has the name, the horses and the game.  He likes to run fast and he can.

Mansour is back in town after a New York run in ’08.

Ben Soleimani  is rated 0.  He is going to be going fast with or without the ball.  He is the Patron.

Martin Zegers is 6-goals,  long, lean and steady.  He fits with Adam.

Adam Snow is 8-goals.  He was rated 10 in the past and he still has the speed, but he will have to get the ball.

Santi Trotz is 6-goals and is back.  He will keep everyone on their toes

Patagones is new, but the only Champs so far this year.

Gonzalo Avendano, the patron,  is 1-goal and looked every bit of a plus on Sunday.  He is ready.

Brandon Phillips is 6-goals, steady and in place.

Carlos Gracida is 8-goals. On these fields he could be better. He showed us yesterday why he was 10 goals for a longtime.

Carlos Avendano is rated 6-goals.  He is solid and a + with his ability at back. He played very well in the last one.

Valiente is new to town, but not to competition.  They may shake it up.

Bob Jornayvaz  is the patron and he is rated 0.  He is very solid and he could be a real force if used.

Carlucho Arellano is 5-goals,  slick, solid and always coming at ya and having fun.

Nacho Astrada is 9-goals.  He will always make the proper play and hit it far.

Santi Bottaro is 6-goals.  We are hoping he is healthy and it does not look like it yet. He hasFredrico Von Wernich, who is always healthy and very capable of being there.

Zacara 2007 champs and they might be ready for another run.

Lyndon Lea is the patron and rated 1-goal.  He is best mounted Patron and probably the fittest. He can play polo.

Jamie Peal is rated 3-goals.  He is an English Lad who knows how they play polo.  He will be a big help.

Miguel Astrada is 9-goals, but he was 10 and maybe again. It is his first time here in a while.

Nicolas Pieres is 7-goals and has the name without a doubt and will need the game .

Head north if your south as San Diego is dark another week and its raining in NY, Canada and Chicago from what I hear.

It’s the place to be this Sat. night. Vinnie Meyers is coming out to sell Texas Polo products, so if you need something he’s here.
