In a very unexpected run it was that kind of day across the USA. It was about experience. Down in FL in game 1 of the US Open for Skeeterville it was 2 older players leading the charge as Skeeter Johnston and Owen Rhinehart led a huge comeback against superstar “Nick the Stick” (Nick Roldan). They did so well! They took it all in overtime with a Golden Goal. In other action in the Open it was Adolfo Cambiaso and Crab Orchard hanging around with Black Watch then saying bye in the fifth and racing off to a big win. This has been the only game that has been more than 2 goals thus far. It was the defending champs Los Monjitas changing around and just slipping by the boys in white as they beat Lechuza by 1 in the final 30 seconds. All this experience is good.
Out West it was really wild as “The Big Mac” also known as Fred Mannix, Sr. took Henry Zavaleta with his Fish Creek squad on his shoulders and scored 4 goals to win the Governor’s Cup Finals. They whipped the Friendly Chevy squad in a big win of the 2007 edition of the Govenor’s Cup. WELL DONE FRED MANNIX! Young Frederick may need you in the Open soon. See ya.
