SANTA BARBARA is going to really wake up today as 8 ladies teams hit the pitch. They from all around the planet as they compete in the WCT’s 1st visit to a club turning 100 years old (Santa Barbara Polo Club). With our teams in each division they feature some of the best female players in the country. From the Sunshine State of Florida( they will miss that here if it does not change ) we have Ms. Tiffany Busch,  daughter of hard- hitting Peter Busch. The highest rated lady player and the first lady of polo these days, Ms. Sunny Hale 3- goals, has won the US )Open and about anything else.  She is now a Florida Girl an she comes out of the nearby hills of Simi Valley.  From Chicago we have Paige Beard, who is now on this coast and organized this tournament and all the activities, hats off to her. From North Dakota they have Therese Volmer , Karen Reese from Aiken, South Carolina  and young Connel Erb from Memphis , TN, who is the youngest player here I believe all 13 years old. Natascha Baecher from Argentina and a whole herd of California Lady Players Jessica Bailey, Claudia Uretz, Abby Riggs, Gina Padilla, Kim Garced and the Law Lady Leigh Brecheen and several others. They are all here to enjoy the King of Sports, not the Sport of Kings. So come and see them rock and roll down the centennial lane on Santa Barbara Polo Club’s 100th birthday.

In the 20-goal it will be Big Ben and Mansour taking on Audi. Piocho taking on Big Bob and Valiente. If you are farther south, stop by Party Central as San Diego Polo.  It is rockin’ and they are playing a lot of good polo with huge crowds. If you are across the pond stop by the Britsh Open and see the quarter finals as Mr. Cambiaso and Dubai play the Pieres of La Bamba. If you need a little spark, stick around and see Victor Vargas and Lechuza take on the hard-hitting Sebe Merlos and young Gotschalk’s Lee Lions 2. I t will be fun. Just come to Polo wherever you are.
