USPA Open National Interscholastic Championship Tournament

The Natania interscholastic polo team, out of Warrenton, Va., recently won the national championship. Making their first national tournament appearance in program history, the Natania squad was able to advance to the championship and took home the title with a 14-9 victory over Eldorado in the final on March 16 in Indio, California.
The match brought an end to the national tournament season for high school-level polo and several Natania players were named national all-stars following the tournament including Wyatt Harlow, Connor Deal and Kamran Pirasteh.
The USPA Open National Interscholastic Championship tournament is part of the U.S. Polo Association’s Intercollegiate/Interscholastic (I/I) polo program, which has experienced great growth in recent years. With the dedication of its participants and growing popularity surrounding the sport, I/I polo added 25 new teams since 2010, for a total of 107 going into this season.
