It was the end of this road for the high flying Hawks as the Owls were definitely hot and the Hawks were not and as the game of Polo goes when your on your on and when your not well your OFF and that was the way it went from the 2nd chukkar on it was all Owls as the Lechuza team of Carcass, Venezuela will head to the finals where they meet Big Bob and Colorado Rockies team Valiente so the Southern Rockies will have to hold up the North American side as the South America powerhouse from Victor Vargas Venezuela team seem to be on fire it should be a good finals as both teams have been moving along quite smartly through the ranks of the first 26 goal tournament of the year there are still two to go and of these two teams only one will have a chance for the triple crown just one year after it was done by Crab Orchard . That was the first one in a decade so it does not happen often. I am for the yanks side but it may be a tough day but it is Polo and nobody knows.
Out where it rains in Southern Cal there is Polo and there is also a chance of more rain but Friday went off without a hitch as both Empire and El Dorado were active today.
Actually got some results from El Dorado a first for a while it looks like the finals on Sunday will have :
REGYE WHYTE’S Thermal Polo and Smokin Joe who beat Dudley’s Casa Blanca in OT today as one team and they face the Man from Malibu as Geoff Palmer and Antelope will be on the other side I think this is Antelopes second or third final in 2011. Other action today was Haneli Bay winning but they needed to win by 4 and did it by 2 and Big Ben and Mansour got a W as they beat the Colorado Cowgirl .
Over at Empire it is another Joe henderson team in the finals as Steve Armour’s Shanghai takes on Ms. Figi and Craig Stankey’s Storm Cats so Sunday is a big day coast to coast .
