The SEMIS are always a mystery as both teams have had a chnace to see films and come up with a plan right or wrong it will be new and all week long I have thought about it and nobody beats the s— out of Andy without him working on why.So I knew if he had control life would change and did it ever as ERG jumped all over them early and here came a new plan before the chukkar ended the difference in Polo is always the team and if it is a team it happens . The big sticks of Grants Farm decided to be a team and it was night and day difference a.s.a.h. like in as soon as it happened it was a whole different game it was 4 not 2 and adios amigos as we did not change until to late and this is why the game of Polo is King of sports and not the sport of kings as there is no King of Polo and Adolfo is the closest to being that and it is still only a title by us in Polo . Young Gun Mr Morrision made it happen they hit him the ball and away they went they used Andy ad it made so much difference. ERG failed to do the same and it was soon visible 2 do not beat 4 nearly ever and away they ran to a first half lead 9 to 4 . ERG got it together a little in the 4th and closed the gap just a little but was in the game and it looked like the pendulum could swing when a missed # 3 worked the opposite and GF instead of up by 2 went up by 5 and it looked over but ERG made that last chukkar surge and came very close and a penalty was called late and I doubt it was placed right as it was a 3 earlier and this time a 4 but ERG had already missed a 3 so who knows whether it would have tied the game as penalty shooting continues to be weak for all the teams up till now of games I have watched . I was very impressed with Little Nick today I think they used him and seen immediate results .
The second semis was played in a little or a lot better weather as sun was more or less out and a little cool but not bad . It was a battle between two of best players in the World and like the earlier match was close early and late as it was Lucchese by 1 at the end of 1 and worked its way up to 9 to 4 by the 4th . Late in the 3rd just before 1/2 time Sugar Erskine was hurt in a rideoff and broke his ankle or cracked it heard both later but either way was out and here was a class act to me . There was a foul on the play against a Lucchese player which meant Audi could have set down a Lucchese player closest to Sugars Handicap above his which would have meant Audi could have set down Adolfo for at least a chukkar I believe it reads . Marc Ganzi gets a lot of heat for some of the things he does and I am sure some of it is that way . However in this case I think it was all class not to set down AC and play 3 on 3 with a 3 goal spread to his advantage. Instead he brought in a sub and I am not sure if that would have been the case for many of these teams. Hats off to Marc on this one anyway. I know he wants to win but he also is a very good person for the sport . Carlos Gracida sr. came in and did well but it was like earlier it got closer but not enough so it will be Lucchese versus Grants Farm come Sunday afternoon for the title of 2011 AMERICA CUP at 1 P.M.
No results from Party Town Del Mar but I am sure they are Rockin as the gates are open for the fall season with a herd of teams
