The finals, held in California, include teams from Texas, Canada, California, Virginia and Maryland
The best high school polo players in the Interscholastic polo program are competing against each other in the 2014 USPA Open National Interscholastic Championship, held March 12-15, 2014, today through Saturday, at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, CA.
The annual event features top high school champion teams that have made their way to the big event through various preliminary and regional tournaments, going up against the best up-and-coming talents in U.S. polo. The co-ed sport includes young female and male polo players in champion high school teams from the Northeastern, Southeastern, Central and Western regions, with two Wild Card teams included from Maryland and California.
The competition starts today with the Eldorado Club facing the Toronto Club and Poway Club team facing Prestonwood Club, followed by Natania and West Shore Polo Clubs facing off against the first and second game winners, respectively. After Friday’s consolation game, Saturday marks the final in the 2014 USPA Open National Interscholastic Championship.
