For the second consecutive day rain and wet fields caused the cancellation of play in the Tortugas Open in Buenos Aires, the first of Argentina’s Triple Crown of Polo.
Sunday’s scheduled match between La Dolfina (Adolfo Cambiaso, Pelon Stirling, Pablo MacDonough and Juan Martin Nero) and La Aguada/Las Monjitas (Agustin Merlos, Magoo Laprida, Eduardo Novillo Astrada and Alejandro Novillo Astrada) was postponed due to rain and wet fields.
Ellerstina/Piaget (Facundo Pieres, Gonzalito Pieres, Mariano Aguerre and Nicolás Pieres) is scheduled to play La Aguada (Guillermo Terrera, Facundo Sola, Miguel Novillo Astrada, and Nacho Novillo Astrada) on Monday, weather and fields permitting. A date has yet to be made for the La Dolfina vs. La Aguada/Las Monjitas.
Looks like it will rain again today Monday here in Buenos Aires, we hope that weather conditions will be much better for the rest of the week, so we can enjoy the Tortugas Open once and for all.
