. . . on the otherside. Last week Windsor Capital was a double J and they were soundly beaten by Antelope/Long Beach. Today they added another J to the mix and Antelope/Long Beach wished they had stayed home as they looked like Big Brown moving from 1’st to last. Windsor Capital added Juan Uranga, son of Polo Connsieur Marcos Uranga. Marcos is a big reason polo has the FIP and worlwide connection. Along with individuals like the Governor (Pat Nesbitt), these people made it work.
Anyway the Gov. added Juan Uranga this week who is also a speed player. Add a little fuel to the fire and its a tunnel of inferno. Friday Windsor won over Chadmar and it seemed easy after 3 and today they were so fast Windsor blew out Long beach. Windsor is now 2 & 0 and rockin’ on. A Young Gun is on fire this week as Piocho Ranch also seemed to start burning as the Lawman and Julio followed the Bullet Barrack to the window often and the flag flew as much. This means Friday is a full-fledged fire. If they are not just warming up for the finals which may well be. We shall check it out tomorrow. Either way it is Piocho at 2 and 0 after thrashing Long Beach on Friday and doing away with Gehache on Saturday. Windsor drilled Chadmar on Friday and belted Long Beach. Today it could be fun as Juan Uranga, Joesph Stuart and Jason Crowder take on Julio in a mix next weekend.
Down south it was Madison/Atlant heading to the finals as they won 2 over the weekend and thay may meet Mr. Collins in the finals after the goals are counted. Across the pond in England its a big semis as the 10 goalers make their notice. Loro Piana with Juan Nero at 10 meet Sumaya with 2 former 10’s Heguy and Milo. On the other side its Ellerston with Facundo Pieres (10) and Azzura a former 10 who is also a Heguy (now 9) so it should be fun. Get ready to saddle up because there is action on the line with lots of finals in one week. Its fun to see the match ups.
Juan Uranga is stepping in with a team he does not know and wow, talk about speed. Where often speed kills this is the other side you get killed by speed. Down in Party land (San Diego) it sounds like Opening Day was a huge success as the calls I got were very noisy and it was not anything but wild, wild music. So I would say the good times are BACK where the Surf meets the TURF.
See ya.
