It was a cool day, the first day of Autumn as it is the 21st of Sept. The polo was hot as game 1 saw Rancho Valencia storm out with 4 goals in the first chukker and they held the lead through the first 4 chukkers by as many as 3. The Doctor, Gaston Von Wernich and Easy Rider (Chris Maloney) started to chip away early in the fifth and then closed the wound late in the 5th and stopped the bleeding as they went up by 2. Tritech never let the Cowboys back in the camp. Lady Lisa Bosstick stuffed a big goal in for Madison in the first chukkar and little did they know how bad they would need it as Ms. Long and Sexy (Shelley Geiler) came to play today. She is up to speed as she blazed down the field and Madison needed a heroic effort of St. Nick (Nicolai Galindo) to get even. After a giant crash by Fast-etta (Mariano Fassetta), with a minute to go in the 6th and a tied score, were able to escape with a tie-breaker with 30 seconds to go. So its off to a big start and a big party tonight as San Diego does enjoy their polo time and tomorrow round 3 gets underway. At 10 a.m. the defending champs, Hidden Creek, are going after win # 2 versus Adeptus/CasaBlanca, who also are in need of win # 2. It will be a very big game for both teams as the Wolfman (Ashton Wolf) and Sir Sean Keys deal with it. Also at 10 is CNS, who are no longer in the cellar and climbing the ladder, but they have to deal with the Pope (Ed Pope) and the Mexican Secretary of defense (Fernando Pilego). They have to work very hard. Lochesh must be running.
At 12 noon its a pair of undefeated teams as Ohana with the PINK jerseys take on the Wild Bill Franchise (Bill Freeman and Corleone). It will be a shootout even with the Surfer (Diego Cossio) still in pink. At high noon its also Princeps taking a run to get out of the cellar against 1 and 1 Cotterell Farms. The other big one will be The Bridges /Princeps looking for daylight as they challenge Billy Boy Hoyman and his M and M gang who are at 1 and 1 and lookin for some running room. They may find it if Fat Boy (George Daou) is not so fat and is not running. So come on down or up if your in Mexico. Guess what?? There is another party on Saturday night.
