How is the problem ? Obviously we are going the wrong way, I know the people leading our Ass. are much smarter than me but life is often common sense . Polo is a game and in reality a game is entertainment and entertainment is a luxury and simply that is what POLO is. So why is the USA so interested in being the second power of Polo ? Argentina is far ahead of us and has been since like 1940 so why the problem. Since then we have had maybe 10 ten goal players and that is doubtful in like 73 years, so think about it WHY are we worried about being the best , we will never be and why do we care.
We should care however that no Americans are really getting the chance to be a real force in Polo . We have all these programs to teach them but how good is that if you never make a living doing it ? They do all these programs and no future so ADIOS to this . I think we should look across the Pond and use there rules and we do have an advantage there is no Euro , which means I can not say my Grand Pa was born in Idaho so I have an American Passport . I am not talking blind I have had this conversation with a few of our Patrons of our sport . Here is my OPINION and everyone has one :

POLO in THE USA :
1 . ALL TEAMS MUST HAVE 2 AMERICANS PATRON WILL BE AN AMERICAN BUT ONLY PATRON.
2 . ALL HIGH GOAL LOWERED OR RAISED TO 22 GOALS SAME AS UK AND SPAIN .
(( REASONS ))
A. COST WILL BE REDUCED BY 30 % SO MORE PATRONS
B. AMERICAN YOUTH WILL WANT TO CONTINUE TO PLAY POLO AND IMPROVE
C. MORE TEAMS CLUBS WILL MAKE MORE MONEY
D. IF ALL HIGH GOAL POLO IS 22 GOALS THERE WILL BE MORE SOLID JOBS AND OPPORTUNITY
FOR PATRONS AND PROS TO MAKE LONG TERM DEALS MAKING LIFE MUCH SIMPLER .
E. YOU COULD HAVE A REAL PRESS AND FOLLOWING IN THE MEDIA AS TEAMS ARE ALWAYS ON SAME
LEVEL AND NAME , AS WELL YOU COULD HAVE A CHAMPIONSHIP SUPPORTED BY THE FAN
BASE. WHY ? WELL WHY NOT ? LOOK AT THE FACTS :
WE HAVE 13 PEOPLE 6 GOALS OR MORE AND NOT ALL REALLY LIVE IN THE USA JUST BORN

THAT’S A FACT LIKE RIGHT NOW THE USA IS PLAYING UK AND POLITO WHO IS A GREAT
PERSON WAS BORN INT THE U.S. BUT HE IS AS MUCH AMERICAN AS I AM CANADIAN THIS IS
NONSENSE ENGLAND IS USING AN AUSSIE OR KIWI NOT SURE BUT NOT ENGLISH .
We need this to keep the Sport real and yes there are going to be 3 or 4 who say no I want to play 26 goal or 30 goal well if there not pros then they are Patrons who want to be spectators on a horse during the game , if you want to do this Sponsor a team in the Argentine Open. I say fine let them do it . They will last less than 5 years and in the meantime Polo will take off in America. It is obvious the USPA wants to build Polo but not finish the project so they can be politically correct with all and I do not think it is working and I think more bosses are bad but I agree on the outside Gov’s at large as we are going nowhere now . Maybe this will help there are People in that group who care Dale S should have been head of Polo 5 years ago Memo knows polo and politics and Pat Nesbitt has Polo on his agenda 24 7 and does not even play competitive anymore. These people will make a difference and as you know they are not doing it for the money .
SIMPLY PUT :
2014 — 2 Americans on ever team from 0 to 40
2014 — all tournaments now 26 or 20 goals @ 22 goals
2014 — Advertise Pro referees as an occupation that makes well over 100 grand
a. create a board who judges officiating and hires and fires and fines bad work
and rewards positive jobs , just like all other pro sports.
b. They do not have to be Polo Players , Polo is a sport with rules and many can
learn them and follow to the hilt .
c. USPA must rule on all bad conduct PERIOD it is not a club problem and it
releases Club politics and need to have a team or a field or a sponsor that’s
why we are an association I assume we pay a lot of people for something and
they do not have to be there to make a ruling . See how fast things change
when they do !
2014 — Discontinue dual handicaps and use monster rule allows much more consistency
for Patrons and team building .
2014 — Continue US polo Youth program because maybe now they have a future
2014 — Save 10 million for Patrons and make 30 million for the Polo community
more teams more jobs more community support and more EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!

RIGHT NOW I FEEL WE ARE LIKE THE GOVT. WE GIVE Afghanistan AND PAKISTAN 4 BILLION + TO KILL US AND IN POLO WE GIVE EVERYONE BUT THE AMERICANS A CHANCE TO GET BETTER AND WHINE BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE AMERICAN PLAYERS . WHY WHY AND WHY AGAIN . 25 YEARS AGO IF YOU WANTED A GOOD CAR YOU WENT JAPANESE IT TOOK A WHILE BUT WHEN CAR CO.S WENT DOWNHILL THEY LEARNED TO BUILD A GREAT PRODUCT. WHY ? THEY GOT HUNGRY , WELL POLO IS THE SAME BUT THERE IS NO UNION AND NO OPPORTUNITY THE WAY IT IS NOW AND THAT IS NO NEED TO HIRE A YOUNG AMERICAN WITH NO EXPERIENCE WHEN YOU CAN FIND 10 OTHERS WITH NO HORSES BUT LOTS OF TIME IN THE LINE AND PLAYING CHEAP. IT IS NOT THERE FAULT WE JUST SEEN THE AMERICAN WAY JUST BUY IT, WE NEED IT NOW IT JUST NEVER WORKS FOR LONG THEN THEY OWN YOU, UNTIL YOU FIGHT BACK . EXAMPLE BEEN TO A 7 – 11 LATELY OR A MOTEL 6 ?

BUILD IT THE AMERICAN WAY – WORK FOR IT – BUT GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO GET THERE AS IT IS THE USPA .
