Team USA victorious against top youth teams from around the world
Team USA soaked in the roar of the crowd yesterday after an exciting 5 ½ to 4 win over England in the finals of the Goldin U18 International Tournament at the Metropolitan Polo Club in Tianjin, China. Four USA players, along with Coach Harley Stimmel, will bring home the much-deserved championship trophy after doing battle with top youth teams from around the globe.
Team USA players and coaches were selected by the United States Polo Association, the national governing body of the sport, flying in to China from California, Texas, Florida and Philadelphia. The tournament represented top youth teams from prominent polo-playing countries including South Africa, Argentina, England and the U.S. respectively.
