SBPRC enjoyed some special visitors from the USPA this weekend. Steve Lane from USPA Umpires LLC was in town to run umpire training programs, along with USPA umpires Rick Sears and Tim Rudy (shown with participant Yazeed Alhashim). USPA Director of Member Services Bob Puetz and his wife Marci visited to discuss member programs with Polo Managers Phil Heatley and Melanja Jones.
It was a great weekend for coaching league graduates Grant Palmer, Jake and Luke Klentner, and Charlie Walker, as they all enjoyed a fast paced practice with 12 goal pros Santiago Wulff and Santiago Trotz. Jake and Luke’s dad Justin Klentner also took part, one of the special things about Santa Barbara is watching two generations of players on the same field. This younger generation of players is moving up fast and using this spring season to get ready to compete in the summer and fall 8 goal season with their dads.
