Upperville, VA) – April 1, 2009 – The Virginia International Polo Club (VIPolo), the only all-inclusive polo facility in the Mid-Atlantic region, will host an Open House on April 25, at 12 noon at Llangollen’s famous Horse Shoe Barn.  Everyone is welcome to attend and hear about all of the exciting new social and polo programs for the 2009 season.  Hors D’oeuvres will be sponsored by The Blackthorne Inn and Restaurant and beverages will be sponsored by Guapos Restaurants.

Weekly premier matches will take place every Saturday and Sunday beginning at 10:30 a.m. from June through September and featuring teams from the 4 and 8 Goal grass leagues.  Additional 8-goal matches will be played every Wednesday night at 5:00 p.m., the Arena League on Thurs p.m. and on Fridays will be the 4 goal grass games at 4:00 p.m. and the Women’s Sunshine League on Friday at 6:00 p.m.

The VIPolo 2009 Social Program will host matches all summer accompanied by a buffet and live music in the field side Pavilion catered by the Blackthorne Inn and Restaurant.  Special events will take place throughout the season, including the third annual 20 Goal Exhibition Match, charitable matches, clinics and more.  Reserved tailgate and boxed seats are available (at a discounted rate) and general spectators are welcome for all matches.
