We Are Building Our String
PoloZONE would like to welcome Backhander to our string of opinion columnists. Many of you may already be familiar with Backhander’s Blog. Whispers and comments about Backhander’s poignant articles have surfaced on the PoloZONE Message Board for quite some time. Don’t call or e-mail and ask me “who” Backhander is because I have no idea. He or she remains anonymous and for good reason. Without complete anonymity these articles would not have the same impact.
For those of you who are not familiar with Backhander’s Blog, article topics range from polo in the Olympics and the pending demise of high-goal polo in America to the lack of up-and-coming certified umpires and the need for change in the associations that govern the sport of polo in this country. Another gem in our string of contributors is Alex Webbe. He has contributed news and results for East Coast Tournaments and related events for about a year now. Alex has become the voice of East Coast polo here on PoloZONE and he is a welcome addition to our dedicated team of writers. We wanted to make sure the East Coast was properly represented on our site, so we have set-up a new blog called “Palm Beach Report” which is written by Alex. Click here to read the Palm Beach Report.
