Saddle up and get ready to ride it’s POLO TIME

Last night we got the best Valentine wishes polo could have. The new Board of Directors met with an advisory committee and laid out the polo plan.  They decided that we will have polo at Eldorado Polo Club for the next TEN years.  Yes,  10 years.  So they are going to try, and with our support, to once again make this the place to be West of the Mississippi from Mar. 09 until May 2019. So be THERE! We will . . . if we are alive.? In a great meeting with the super patrons and the low goal Patrons as well Chris Collins, Bud Dardi and John Clark said we are on and moving towards the future and with a plan to bring EDPC back to the real world of Polo. They will return the smile on our faces and hopefully make the same on the employees faces too

One of the big compliments of the meeting was the improvement of the fields.   Andy Perkins is doing a good job with the field maintenance.   This just needs to keep improving and the club will as well. I think it has definitely taken a + on the field view.  We need to improve things, but a lot is just work and if you improve that you will improve the rest.  It’s just the way it is .

I was once was told by a very famous polo player, that if you ride all your horses and can take it every day, you will improve them just a little bit.  Pretty soon you will have good horses. Well, that is the goal of Eldorado PC.  Everything we do will improve it a little bit, so we just have to DO IT! So if you see something you cannot fix, tell someone at the Club.  If it does not get fixed, talk to Bud Dardi.  He is there to make it happen and he will.?

In Polo today, it was the Hawks and the Canadians, who were following last month with a decisive victory.   Gramps and the boy’s rolled over Cotterell in the 8-goal.

Down south in Florida, it was a 40-goal match up and it was Mike Azzaro the hero of the day as he scored as the clock ran out for a big win in the annual Outback 40-goal tournament.  This tournament is to help fund the Polo Player Support Group.  The Michelob Ultra team won it in a final blow. They are sponsored by Super Patron Adolph’s Busch #4, who is one of the biggest polo supporters in the nation, if not the biggest.  He no longer plays due to old lingering injuries, but he backs it up as a real supporter all the way.

The Polo Player’s Support Fund has helped many disabled polo players, grooms and their families when they just cannot work. Hats off to Dave Offen, Mr. Busch and Tim Gannon and the many other people who make it work, also the players who make it happen.?

See ya.
