As odd as it may seem, the West coast from Calgary to Carpinteria and Indio are doing great. We may not be able to get good polo here, but our people are doing just fine in good polo everywhere else. Young Julian Mannix is in the finals of the Pilar Municipal Cup, a big 26-goal tournament in Pilar, Argentina. Ben Solemoni of Santa Barbara and Los Angeles, is in the finals for 2nd time of the Ellerstina Gold Cup. He is the defending Champ and also first American to ever win it.
Down South in Palm Beach, at the Grand Champions, it is Jesse Bray and Jason Crowder going head to head in the finals of the 20-Goal this Sunday. Fred Mannix 2 is going strong in the Big Daddy of them all at Palermo in the Argentine Open. It is an open limit 40-goals. Jared Sheldon and Remy Muller are doing great in Houston as well as Pat Uretz, who is also winning in the Texas Open. Dayelle Fargy of Calgary is in the finals of the US Women’s Open. We need to make CA Polo GROW. We have 20 of the best young players in the World and nowhere to GO. Maybe I am exaggerating, but we can give you a pretty good list ASAP.
