Jan Pamela/Little Owl rebounded from two earlier Sawgrass Challenge losses to hand Willow/Blanco its first loss of the month as the slipped by in a tightly-contested 8-7 game.

J. P. Uihlein scored the first goal of the game but was quickly countered with a goal for Willow/Blanco.  Willow/Blanco received one goal by handicap from Jan Pamela/Little Owl and held a 2-1 lead.

Brad Blake scored a second chukker goal for Willow/Blanco, but was answered by Wayne Garrison who kept Jan Pamela/Little Owl in it but trailing, 3-2.

Jan Pamela/Little Owl got on track in the third with goals from Garrison, Steve Dalton and Joe Wayne Barry.  Willow/Blanco responded with goals from Brandon Phillips and Egan, but could do no more than tie it up at 5-5 at the end of the first three chukkers of play.

Uihlein scored the go-ahead goal for Jan Pamela/Little Owl in the fourth, but Egan’s third goal of the game kept it all even at 6-6 as the chukker ended.

A single goal from Uihlein in the fifth was all the wiggle room Jan Pamela/Little Owl needed, as shutout defense blanked Willow/Blanco for the first time all day.  Jan Pamela/Little Owl

Left the field with a paper thin 7-6 advantage.

Tom Sikes tied it up at 7-7 with his first goal of the day, but Barry scored the final goal of the game for Jan Pamela/Little Owl  as they took the game in a hotly contested 8-7 win.

A balanced Jan Pamela/Little Owl attack had Uihlein leading his team with three goals.  Garrison and Barry scored two goals apiece and Dalton accounted for a single goal in the win.

Egan led Willow/Blanco with three goals.  Teammates Sikes, Phillips and Blake scored single goals in a losing effort.
