If you weren’t at the SBPRC last Sunday, you missed out on a fun consolation game and a hard-fought final for the USPA Intra-Circuit. The ponies got to run on the fields one last time, and it was a very fast paced game. Piocho Ranch showed everyone why they were the favored team and came out on top by a goal despite a valiant effort by La Karina in the last chukker.

TJ Barrack on BPP Texana
Matt Ladin won’t be a 4 goaler for long as he scored all but 2 of his team’s goals. Santi Wulff had the best playing pony Pro, Buscapina, and TJ Barrack had the best playing pony Sponsor, Texana. Brian Boyd and Matt Ladin were MVP Sponsor and Pro.
SB Polo Club just wound up the most successful spring season we have had in years. The crowds were great, the teams were fun, and the club saw a huge boost in polo interest within the community thanks to a great marketing campaign. The press has been on our side this year and the hype is sure to continue through our thrilling 20 goal season. Ellen Gilbert, Polo Clubhouse Manager, has been an essential part of the team this year. Her promotional and marketing knowledge have taken the club to the next level. The club’s involvement in new networking tools such as Facebook and twitter has kept polo in the spotlight.
Nearly all the 20 goal horses are coming in this week and there is a lot of movement around the barn as horses file in and out. The next two months will have a lot of GREAT polo so don’t forget to come by. If you can’t make it out on a Sunday, we will have matches on other days during the week. Match times are recorded on our polo hotline for the next day’s games. Check back often! The polo hotline is 805 684 5819.
