The Polo Report by Steve Crowder. JOHN ROONEY has always or at least for a long time been a major supporter of Calgary Polo. He now owns it as he has won all 3 high-goal tournaments. John mixed and matched with an anchor and bossman in the form of Smokin Joe Henderson coupled with a quiet force in Brad Blake. Blake, who like his brother the Ironman down South, just does his job well everday. John added a Young Gun named Juan Gris Zavaleta. He had a couple ops on his own body and turned into the Rooney Machine and led his team all the way to the promised land. Zenas beat a team in the finals I hear that was 39 yrs. younger. Well it was enough. The 10- and 4-goal go one more week before the snow starts to fall and the big Hunt is on. So say so long to summer polo in Canada and congragulations to ZENAS POLO. See ya.
