The Polo Report
By Steve Crowder

… at the SPRECKLES CUP

IF YOU THOUGHT THE Pacific Coast Open WAS FUN IT JUST KEEPS GOING @ THE SPRECKLES CUP.

It is a 2-week run of parties, polo and a fun time. It gets better every year they rock and roll in San Diego as it is a little younger than Santa Barbara Polo Club and a whole lot bigger. The Polo is not the same as it is lower goal polo  but with high-goal good times. San Diego Polo Club always has big crowds.  It has been the place to be for a decade or two come Sept.

The Beach the Sea and the City make it a splendid setting for a fun time in the fall. There is no Cambiaso or Pieres or Astrada, but there is Von Wernich, Bray, Crowder and the Fast- Etta as in Mariano Fasseta. Nobody knows who is not there and they are ready to rumble over scenic fields and make believe weather. You will feel like you’re on a holiday with a weekend of polo at Del Mar.

We will know the finalist after this Friday semis as it is down to 3 or 4. The last ones standing will be on Sunday Lane, but it will be fun. It always is.  Sit back, relax and see where the Surf meets the Turf.

see ya
