Hello Patrons, Players, Members and Supporters;

A great big welcome to our two new Assistant Polo Managers, Debbie Morrison and Judith Baker!!

Many of you may already know Debbie.  Debbie’s polo career started 40 years ago working for Paul von Gontard at the original Eldorado Polo Club in Indian Wells.  Debbie’s polo travels include the United States, Canada, Argentina and Australia.  She traveled to Argentina in 1979 with the United States team to play in the Cup of the Americas.  Following that she returned to Florida and continued in high goal polo.  In the early eighties she managed a barn for the Coca Cola team and went to Australia with Skeeter Johnson to manage and rebuild his American polo string.  Debbie stayed on in Australia, marrying an Australian and raised two wonderful children, Emily and Nicholas.  Emily is into showing, hunting and large animal veterinary services, and Nick is an aspiring young 1 goal polo player.  While in Australia Debbie and her husband started an agriculture merchandise products business that continues to thrive today.  Debbie returned to the States and the Coachella Valley in 1999 and worked grooming and training polo ponies.  Currently in Thermal, at Deer Creek, she is raising, training and selling polo horses.

Judith was born in England and started riding at the age of three.  Judith has won many top horse shows.  She left England for the United States at 22 years of age.  She rode jumping horses in Florida, Virginia and California up to the Grand Prix level.  She went back to England in 1973 with two American horses and represented England in Holland and Germany.  She started Polo in 1983 in Anaheim, CA at a place called Winston Polo Club.  Winston attracted as many as 60 members.  She also Managed a 150 horse boarding stable.  In the nineties she moved to Indio and was making green horses for polo.  She sold many top horses to Patrons for high goal polo, including “Silverado” who won “Best Playing Pony” in the Argentine Open.  Judith was awarded her first Sportsmanship Award in 1989.  She also worked for Empire Polo Club running arena games.  She worked for Palm Beach polo Club as a barn manager.  She worked for the San Diego Polo Club and ran women’s polo organizing lesson’s and games. Judith was a 2 goal arena player and a 1 goal player on grass.
