Scott Woods has been looking for a Title for 3 years in Santa Barbara and he now has one of the biggest ones the Piaget Silver Cup and he did it the old fashion way , he worked for it with some amazing plays to set up teammates and get it done hustling all day long and working hard for Sebe , Paco and the Rocket Miguel Torres the local boy with a big smile tonight and a MVP trophy to go with it. ERG has lost two PCO finals in a row and the last one to Lucchese in 2010 and that was their opponent today and Capyain Woods had enough of 2 nd place and the rest is History as ERG got out to an early lead but Cambiaso and company roared right back and tied it up before the bell rang to end chukkar one at 3 to 3 the second started out weak for ERG and stayed that way as Lucchese slipped out to 2 goal lead and it ended at 6 to 4 Luc. but ERG got the flow going in the 3rd and never looked back winning the 3 rd 4 to 0 and a 3 goal lead going into the 4th and kept the heat on in the 4th winning it by a 3 to 2 margin increasing game lead to 11 to 7 in a fast and furious 5 th it was all ERG as they held Lucchese scoreless and scored 2 and a 13 to 7 goal lead and then Lucchese had more bad luck as tempers flared lost a player for the rest of the game about 6 minutes but it was already over and it was not to be denied as ERG was the team of the day on this last day of July 2011. The MVP was Miguel Torres jr a local player who was born and raised in the Summerland area and Best Playing Pony was also owned by Scott Woods and played by Paco De Narvaez so you might say SW had a very nice day. He made many plays all day long and eliminated his opponent almost all day and then mixed it up with the big guns as well . Sebe Merlos has been a huge change in the facelift of ERG as he is 10 goals in the UK and has carried that rating World wide for many years and proved why he is BACK today.

In the first round of the Americas Cup also started today it was Grants Farm pounding Mansour who lost a local young gun Jarod Sheldon to a collar bone injury which did hurt their chances I am sure as it was 5 to 5 when he went down and they ended up losing to a revamped GF by 7 as young Nick Morrision proved he is here to stay dressed in Green for the summer .
In the other game at 3 pm it was Piaget stopping Audi as the Ganzi’s had a famuly war and Lady ganzi came out in first place as they stopped Audi in the last chukkar to get a bye till next Sunday when they will meet ERGin a big one for the semis . Grants Farm will also be idle Friday as Lucchese will take on Mansour .
