The Polo Report
By Steve Crowder

The Final Four Teams … some big and some are very familiar names, but like last year when Zacara came sneaking through there may be another unknown.  For the most part the teams have big names in polo like Pablito Pieres with Cortium and Patron Adrian Kirby, who to me was most underrated high-goaler in FL last Winter.  They made the semis, stopping the defending Champs Zacara in the Quarters. Pablo does have the last name Pieres. We all know he will also be playing with Andy Busch in Santa Barbara. They do have a rather large task before they reach the Finals on the other side.  It is Sumaya with Ahamed Aboughazale and his warrior with a big name Javier Astrada.  They also have a ladder climbing phenomenon name Facundo Sola.  They got by beating Ellerston in the Quarterfinals. It should be one heck of a game.

In the other semis it will be two, top-of-the-planet players and it comes in a smaller package of Lighting called Stirling (as in Pelon).  He is rated 10-goals everywhere else but in the U.K. and he has El Remanso and the flying Hanbury’s flying to the finish with Charley and George. Major trouble!  It is Dubai with Rashad Albwardy and the best player in the world named Adolfo Cambiaso, who already has the Queens’ Cup of 2012 in their Trophy Case.  They will be a little late arriving to much better weather here in the U.S. as Adolfo Cambiaso is also playing in Santa Barbara this summer. It looked just a little wet across the Pond on the Internet coverage which was pretty good I must say.

See it on pololine.tv live it is pretty good and you do not have to make a trip
